Morning Moon

I caught sight of this just as I was heading out the door for work today. When I awoke at 5:30 the moon was much higher in the sky and much brighter, but I was too tired and lazy to run out to the garage and grab my tripod.

After I uploaded the photo I had a couple of pleasant surprises. First is that the moon is directly over my friend Rhonda's house in this photo. There is a "note" box on Flicker showing her home. Second, the snow on the houses and the leaf-less tree show all to well that it is amazingly cold here already and we've had about a foot of snow. The high temperature today was 6 degrees I think. Bbrrrrrrr.
