My friend Joel decided to ham it up, slightly, while our pals phantom kitty and robolov3000 were looking for a photo card for their camera. This was just a very colorfully painted door on the side of a restaurant on Atwood Avenue in Madison, WI.
Last night was the annual Gallery Night around town and we hit the near east side mostly and a couple places downtown. This is just one of the reasons I love the Madison area so much. No matter how long you've lived here, there is always a new adventure and a different location/store/shop/gallery just waiting to be discovered by you.
It's the times like these spent with friends that help to guide me on what is truly important in life. Not the career chasing or the imaginary restraints we put on ourselves -- can't do it, no time, have to get 'whatever' done by a self imposed or community imposed deadline. Yes, those are sometimes important, but life really is to short not to step back and try to enjoy yourself and those that you hold dear.
